Figueroa Mountain Adventure

Last month the Pacific Rigs team armed with a kickass 1984 Toyota FJ60 and a rugged 1981 Toyota FJ45 truck, decided to hit up Los Padres National Forest for some off-road action. It was a weekend cruisers’ dream as it’s the rainy season here and the roads were rougher, but the landscape was greener. It’s also the time of year when the sun is low and provides the perfect California backdrop for cruising.
So, we set off through forest roads of Figueroa Mountain known for its killer views and variety of trails. With the FJ60 leading the charge and the FJ45 right behind it giving off that iconic vintage vibe that brings back the early days of off-road adventure.
We really put those rigs through their paces with lots of climbing and high speed off roading. The FJ60 was like a beast, handling the steep climbs and rocky terrain like a champ. And the FJ45? It's an oldie but a goodie, taking on everything we threw at it with that classic toughness.
After tearing up the trails for hours, we pulled over to catch our breath and crack open some cold ones. There’s nothing better than sitting there surrounded by nature's beauty, swapping stories and laughs and feeling damn good about what we just pulled off.
But the day wasn’t over yet. As the sun starts to dip below the horizon, we rolled into Los Olivos for some well-deserved BBQ and more brews. With high spirits and a chill vibe, we soaked in the charm of the town as the sky turned into a canvas of colors.
And as we hit the road again, with the stars lighting up the night sky above us, we were already planning our next big adventure. Because when you're living that outdoor life, there's always another trail to conquer, another peak to summit. And with rigs like ours and a crew like ours, the possibilities are endless.
